Wylie Dowlen

Age 66 of Clarksville passed away Friday, November 17, 2017. Visitation Friday, November 24, 2017 2:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. with the family present 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at Foston Funeral Home. Funeral service 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 25, 2017 at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. Burial Resthaven Memorial Garden. He was born July 19, 1951 in Clarksville to Myles E. Dowlen and Ruby Cage Dowlen. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jesse Glenn Dowlen. He retired from Clarksville Police Department in 2011. He leaves to cherish his loving memory wife, Sylvia Darnell Dowlen; daughters, Melinda, Melissa, Sharonda and Wendy Dowlen;grandchildren, Joseph Dowlen and Brian Bell; sisters, Mattie Brown and Gwendolyn Smith; brothers, Willie Herman(Pasty Ann) Dowlen, James Russell, Ronald (Machell) Dowlen, Donald Dowlen and Frank C. (Waulnetta) Dowlen; aunts, Elizabeth (Hurley) Majors and Shirley (Phillip) Stevenson;uncle, James Cage and a host of family and friends.
