William H. Zimmer

William (Bill) Zimmer Jr. joined with his wife of 46 years, JoAnne Zimmer, on Jan 3, 2018. He was 88 years of age and is survived by six kids, seven grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. He was drafted into the U.S. Army's Nuclear Weapon Program during the Korean War. This brought him into a prestigious career of over 50 years with the Hanford Site(Richland, WA), Oak Ridge Nuclear Power Plant (Oak Ridge, TN), and the National Nuclear Corporation(Sunnyvale, CA) as a Nuclear Chemist Metrologist . During his career he was also a published advisor in the field of Gamma Radiation. Memorial services will be held at a later date with the family in the San Juan Islands, WA; where he shared his passion of sailing with his children.
