His grandson, Darrian Clanton, Jr.; parents; sister, Gloria Arnold; brothers: Clemon Jackson, Jr., John Adam Jackson; nephews: David Jackson and Maurice Jackson preceded him in death.

He accepted our Lord and Savior at an early age and was a devoted Christian who loved reading his Bible.

After leaving the military, he furthered his education by attending Tennessee Technology Center and was certified as a Technician Type 1 and 2. He enjoyed employment with A.O. Smith as a tow-motor mechanic/technician type 1 & 2 before retiring in 2004 after many years of dedicated service.

On Friday, August 12, 1983, he united in holy matrimony with Gail, and this union was blessed with four children.

Walter, affectionately known as “Main” loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed watching sports, working on cars and playing his many guitars. He was deeply loved and will be missed by everyone who knew him.
