Venetia, daughter to loving parents, James Lee Wallace and Johnnie Mae Teague Wallace, began her earthly journey on Saturday, November 23, 1963 in Decatur, Alabama. Her parents and grandparents: George Wallace, Virginia Robinson Wallace, John Teague and Sarah Ellison Bradley preceded her in death.
Affectionately called “Bonnie” by family and friends, she accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Pentecostal House of Praise under the leadership of the late Bishop A.C. Strong.
She received her formal education in the Copperas Cove Public Schools and graduated from Copperas Cove High School with the Class of 1981. She also attended Austin Peay State University. She was a dedicated employee of the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System at Northeast High School where she was an Educational Assistant.
Venetia was an exceptional woman who dedicated her every moment to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were her life. She was also very important in the lives of her students whom she treated like family. All people she had contact with loved her, co-workers and friends alike. Not only did we lose a major part of the family, but we also lost a “Hero”. All who knew and loved her will sorely miss her presence and smiling face.
On Tuesday, April 15, 2025, Venetia’s earthly journey ended peacefully.
She leaves precious memories to be cherished by her daughter, Nakia Jones, Nashville, TN; sons: Quinton Q. Wallace, Birmingham, AL and Stanley Jones, Decatur, AL; 20 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; sisters: Theresia (Wendell) Boone, Clarksville, TN and Sarah W. Higgins, Decatur, AL; brothers: Tymon W. Teague, Cleveland, OH and James L. Wallace, Huntsville, AL; uncle, Leroy Sanford, Decatur, AL; devoted companion, Michael Howard and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
