Teresa Ann Taylor, the eldest of nine children born to the union of Robert Lee, Sr., and Helen E. Broadnax Miller on February 17, 1949, in Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025, in Clarksville, Tennessee. TeresaAnn, as she was called, attended Indianapolis Public Schools, graduating from Shortridge High School in 1968.
After completing her education, TeresaAnn embarked on a diverse career, working several jobs throughout her life. She proudly served at Jenny Stewart Hospital in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, where her dedication and compassion benefited both patients and staff. Later, TeresaAnn worked at the Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) in Clarksville, Tennessee, retiring after 20 years of devoted service. Her loyalty and reliability stand as a testament to her character and her desire to serve others.
On May 15, 1985, TeresaAnn married Mack Taylor, beginning a new chapter filled with love, partnership, and devotion. Though she didn’t have children of her own, TeresaAnn embraced her role as a devoted “Auntie,” caring deeply for her nieces and nephews. Notably, when her niece Desiree’s parents were deployed, TeresaAnn stepped in with unwavering love and dedication, providing stability, guidance, and a nurturing home. This act of selfless care left an indelible mark on Desiree’s life and stands as a testament to TeresaAnn’s boundless generosity and commitment to family. TeresaAnn’s nurturing spirit extended beyond her human family to her beloved fur baby, Nickie, who brought her much joy and companionship over the years. Deeply committed to her community, TeresaAnn generously volunteered her time at the Veterans Home and local schools, where she was lovingly known as a “lunch room granny.” In this cherished role, she offered support and encouragement to students during their midday meals, becoming a comforting and familiar presence in the school community. TeresaAnn was also involved in other causes close to her heart, always willing to lend a helping hand wherever she was needed.
TeresaAnn’s circle of friends was wide and treasured. As a proud member of the “Ladies of Leisure”, she was affectionately called “the queen”—a title that reflected her grace, humor, and the joy she brought to every gathering. With her “Ladies of Leisure” friends, TeresaAnn enjoyed spending time together, sharing laughter and making memories. She found delight in simple pleasures: walking, shopping for jewelry, purses, and perfume, and her love of travel took her on many adventures. TeresaAnn’s impeccable taste and appreciation for beauty were evident in all aspects of her life. During her years living in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, TeresaAnn was a devoted member of Freeman Chapel. After moving to Clarksville, Tennessee, she continued her spiritual journey by attending Tabernacle M.B.C.
TeresaAnn will be remembered for her unwavering kindness, her thoughtful spirit, and the love she gave so freely—always delivered with a candid honesty that endeared her to all.
As a beloved daughter, sister, friend, wife, and cherished member of her community, TeresaAnn brought warmth and compassion to all who knew her. She was deeply kindhearted, yet never one to mince words—her honesty and straightforward nature were as much a part of her legacy as her generosity. Her genuine kindness touched countless lives, often delivered with candor and wit.
TeresaAnn was preceded in death by her loving husband Mack Taylor, her devoted parents Robert Lee Sr., and Helen E. Broadnax Miller, her brother Robert Jr, her sister Michelle Miller, and her nephew Jerren Miller.
TeresaAnn leaves behind a loving family to cherish her memory, brothers: Flennory and David (Angel) Miller; sisters: Dominique Eubank, Elizabeth Miller, Tiawana Safford of Indianapolis, IN, and Tonya (Lee) Miller Hill of Clarksville, TN; a sister-in-law, Jacqueline Miller; and a host of nieces, nephews—and friends and cherished fur baby, Nickie.
