Stephen, son to Ricki Dixson and Debra Pinckney, began his earthly journey on Tuesday, May 25, 1982 in Manhattan, NY. Stephen’s mother remarried and he was raised by Leonardo Payne “Daddy Leo.” His parents preceded him in death.

He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and attended St. Peter African Methodist Episcopal Church.

Stephen was educated in the New York Public School System where he attended and graduated from Ridgeview High School. He attended Miller Motte College. He was employed with Kelly’s Painting. Later he started his own painting company Your Painting Guys.

He loved spending time with family and his children. He always played pranks, made jokes, and enjoyed making people smile. He enjoyed painting and fixing things. He had a passion for taking something old and making it look new. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him. On Friday, April 10, 2026, Stephen departed this life to be with the Lord.

He leaves to cherish precious memories his children: Zakiah Dixson, Concord, NC, Brianna Dixson and Braylon Dixson, Clarksville, TN; sister, Taiwan Dixson, Bronx, NY; brothers: Gary Tomlin, Clarksville, TN, Ricki Dixson, Virginia and Maurice Dixson, Dryden, NY; aunt, Shawn Washington; uncles: Marty Pinckney, James Pinckney and Troy Pinckney; devoted companion, Vonda Gilliam and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
