Ronnie Harris

Ronnie Dean Harris began his earthly journey on Monday, July 13, 1959, to the delight of his parents, J.T. Neal and Rosie Lee Harris Decker in Plain Dealing, Louisiana. His parents; four brothers: Larry Decker, Vernon Neal, Randy Neal, George Decker; two sisters: Claire Neal and Linda Harris preceded him in death.

He received his education in the Louisiana Public School System. He was a graduate of Plain Dealing High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army and after 20 years of dedicated service, he retired May 1, 1999. He was employed with Precision Printing as an assembly line worker.

Ronnie was a devoted father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and cousin who loved spending time with his family and friends. All who knew and loved him will sorely miss his presence and smiling face.

On Thursday, January 15, 2026, Ronnie went home to be with the Lord.

He leaves to cherish precious memories, his devoted wife, Stardom Harris; two stepchildren: Erica Grissom and Isaiah G. Scott; eight grandchildren: Aisha Harkless, Amari Roscoe, Jacquez Scott, Malea Ewing, Amaiyah Scott, Cameron Scott, Anoa Smith-King, Alivia Smith-King; five sisters: Lafonda Player, Carolyn Green, Connie Neal, Linda Jones, Rosie Mae Harris; seven brothers: Brad Decker, Jessie Lee Decker, Jerry W. Harris, Earl Lathen, J.T. Neal, John Neal, Roger Neal and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
