Reginal Odom

Reginal Lafise, son to James Robert Odom and Betty Lorain Putman Odom, entered this life on Saturday, May 4, 1968 in Pascagoula, Mississippi. His daughter, Olivia Odom and father, James Robert Odom preceded him in death.

He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior at an early age and attended First Missionary Baptist Church.

Reginal was a graduate of Fort Campbell High School with the Class of 1986. He attended Kentucky Wesleyan College, where he excelled in basketball, assisting the team in winning two NCAA Basketball Championships. One in 1987 and in 1990 while serving as Team Captain. He graduated in 1991 with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree. After college, enjoyed working with Bowl for Life and was Youth Care Specialist of the Year. He enjoyed employment with the Budweiser and LG Company.

Reggie’s greatest pride was his children. He showed unwavering love and strength, especially while tenderly caring for his daughter, Oliva, who bravely her battled multiple cancers. His selflessness, devotion, and quiet strength will be remembered by those who knew his heart.

Affectionately known as “Reggie”, he loved spending time relaxing with his family and friends. He enjoyed Kentucky Sports, basketball, fishing, and watching the Dallas Cowboys. All who knew and loved him will sorely miss his presence.

On Monday, May 5, 2025, Reginal departed this life to be with the Lord.

He leaves to cherish precious memories his children: Whitney Odom and Tyler Stone, both of Owensboro, KY; mother, Betty Odom; sister, Regina Odom-Poythress, both of Clarksville, TN; four grandchildren: Haven Stone, Leon Stone, Amara Stone and James Stone; aunts: Dorothy Tate, Lenora Benn and Deltrice Putman; uncles: Willie Putman, James Putman and Charles Putman; nieces and nephews: Alexis (Jalen) Reeves-Maybin, Alex (DeVann) Poythress and Alyssa Poythress and a host of other relatives and friends.
