Norris Bagby, Jr

Norris, Jr., began his earthly journey on Saturday, October 29, 1955, in Oakland, California, son to Norris Bagby, Sr., and Louise Collins Patten Bagby. His mother preceded him in death.

He accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior at an early age and was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.

Norris, Jr., was educated in the Oakland Public School System and was a graduate of Castlemont High School. A proud retired Army veteran, he served his country honorably for many years as an aviation mechanic, where his dedication, skill, and strong work ethic never went unnoticed.

Norris, Jr., united in holy matrimony with Debra Bagby and this union was blessed with two children.

He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose life was defined by his service, integrity, and love for his family. He enjoyed bowling and working on cars. Above all else, he believed in the importance of family and made sure that value was deeply instilled in his children and grandchildren. He was a man of his word-reliable, principled and steady in all that he did. His legacy of service, loyalty, and love will continue to live on through all who were blessed to know him.

On Tuesday, January 13, 2026, Norris, Jr., departed this life to be with the Lord.

He leaves precious memories to be cherished with his daughter, D’Arbara Bagby; son, Norris Bagbey, III, both of Clarksville, TN; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; father, Norris Bagby, Sr., Tyler, TX; brothers: Michael Bagby, Oakley, CA and Russel Bagby, Dekalb, TX; grandmother, Florene Haynes; aunt, Bobbi Haynes; uncle, Donnel Bailey and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
