Mrs. Rosa (Rosie) L. Ligon age 90 of Guthrie, Ky passed away Monday, August 21, 2023. Visitation Friday, August 25, 2023, 12:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. with the family present 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Foston Funeral Home. Homegoing Celebration 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 26, 2023, at Mt. Nebo Missionary Baptist Church. Interment Mt. Pleasent Church Cemetery, Allensville, KY.
She was born November 29, 1932, in Montgomery County to Jessie and Josephine Miller Wilcox. She is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Henry C. Ligon, son, Billy Wayne Ligon, siblings, Mary Townsend, Jessie Ray Wilcox, Billy Wilcox, Sr, Emma Wilcox and Willie F. Wilcox.
Mrs. Rosa (Rosie) leaves to cherish her loving memories sons, Chester Ligon, David (Ivorey) Ligon, Ray (Barbara) Ligon, Clifford (Christi) Ligon, Terry Ligon, Lewis (Dellcenia) Ligon and Robert (Tanuverne) Ligon; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Johnson Ligon; sisters, Brenda Brown, Margaret (Rev. Frank) Johnson, Augusta Wilcox and Linda (Charles) Ogburn; brothers, James Wilcox, William (Lucy) Wilcox, Robert (Willie Dean) Wilcox and Charles (Cassie) Wilcox, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
