Mrs. Florence Milan

Florence, daughter to William Larkins and Bertha Wilson Larkin Bellamy, began her earthly journey on February 4, 1944 in Clarksville, Tennessee. Her husband, James L. Milan; grandson, Jalen L. Milan; parents, stepfather, Robert Bellamy; sister, Paula Larkin; brothers, Elwood Larkin, Donald Larkin, Sonny Bellamy and David Bellamy preceded her in death.

She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at an early age and was a faithful member of Springhill Missionary Baptist Church.

Florence received her education in the Montgomery County School System and was a graduate of the Historic Burt High School. She enjoyed employment with Opryland Hotel for many years and a homemaker. Florence was married to James L. Milan from 1963 until his passing in 2001. This union was blessed with four children.

She was a huge college sports fan. She loved the VOLS and cheered for all SEC teams. She rooted for the Titans and the Steelers. She was an avid reader and loved watching TV. Her favorite shows were court shows, westerns, Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy and Inside Edition, which she watched every day. She also loved babysitting her grand dog, ‘Kyndall’ every day whom she nicknamed “Little Wolf”. Florence loved online shopping, there were always packages arriving. She was full of advice and will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.

On Saturday, April 8, 2023, Florence answered God’s beckoning call to cease from her earthly labors and entered into the Master’s Joy!

She leaves to cherish precious memories her daughters, Deidra N. (Terrence) Milan, Camille M. Milan; son, Lamont J. Milan and Bernard S. Milan, all of Clarksville, TN; sister, Rose Bellamy, Huntsville, AL; granddaughter, Jasmyne Dennis; great grandchildren, J’auna Milan, Lyric Milan, Kyngston Clark; host of nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Memorial Service 12:00 p.m. Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Springhill Missionary Baptist Church.
