Ms. Annetta Norfleet

Our beloved Annetta Norfleet born on September 11, 1937, in Montgomery County, Tennessee, Annetta was the cherished daughter of the late Paul and Rosezeffer Neblett Norfleet. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters: Susie Bell Kay, Mary Lou Norfleet, and Patsy Nell Bagwell, and one brother, David Norfleet.

Annetta was educated in the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System and proudly graduated from the Historic Burt High School, Class of 1956. With a heart for service and a love for her community, she dedicated 36 years of her life working in Child Nutrition for the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System. Her commitment to caregiving continued for another 17 years as Assistant Manager of the Adult Daycare at the Ajax Turner Senior Center.

From a young age, Annetta accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and became a faithful member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in the Port Royal Community. Her devotion to her faith was unwavering—she served with grace and humility on the Mother Board, in the Senior Choir, and as Chairperson of the Kitchen Committee, where she poured love into every meal she helped prepare.

Annetta peacefully departed this life on Friday, April 18, 2025, at Tennova Healthcare in Clarksville, Tennessee.

Annetta’s life was marked by kindness, strength, and an enduring love for her family and friends. She leaves to cherish precious memories her devoted daughter, Dorinda Michelle Norfleet-Davis (Billy); dear sister, Minnie Watkins, Clarksville, TN; loving brother, Charles (Nora) Norfleet of Forest Park, GA; sister-in-law, Bertha Norfleet, Clarksville, TN; a lifelong friend, Lillian Pulley; and a host of adoring nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and extended family.

Her legacy of compassion, service, and faith will forever be remembered by all who knew and loved her.
