Lottie M. Rogers began her earthly journey on Sunday, September 15, 1935, in Montgomery County, Tennessee, the daughter of Ramey Rogers and Agnes Hopkins Rogers. Her parents; brothers: Willie W. Rogers, Commodore W. Rogers, Webbie R. Rogers and Sandy B. Rogers preceded her in death.
She professed a hope in Christ at an early age and united with Sulphur Springs AME Church where she faithfully served on the Stewardess Board, as Sunday School Superintendent, and member of the Women’s Missionary Society, Lay Organization and Trustee Board. Her favorite scripture was Psalm 23.
Lottie received her education in the Montgomery County School System and was a graduate of the Historic Burt High School with the Class of 1954. She enjoyed employment with the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System as a school bus aide for many years before retiring on May 23, 2006.
She loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed cooking, reading, gardening, putting jigsaw puzzles together, working crossword puzzles and word search puzzles. All who knew and loved her will sorely miss her presence and smiling face.
On Friday, September 19, 2025, Lottie departed this life to be with the Lord.
She leaves to cherish precious memories, her son, Kevin T. Rogers, Cunningham, TN; daughter, Phyllis Rogers-Goodman (Rev. Lee Clayton Goodman, Esq.), Maryland Heights, MO; two grandchildren: Nia Imani Goodman and Tia Noni Goodman; beloved sister, Billie C. (William) Woodruff, Cunningham, TN; beloved brother, Clyde W. (dear sister-in-law, Betty) Rogers, Savannah, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, all of whom she loved dearly and often stated “they’re all my children”, cousins and friends.
