Khandra Smalley

March 15, 1963 — November 3, 2022

Khandra Renita began her earthly journey on March 15, 1963 in Gilmer, Texas, the daughter of the late Fred Smalley and Willie Faye Bolden Smalley. In addition to her parents, her grandniece, Ariah Kirkland preceded her in death.  She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at an early age and was a faithful member of Mosaic Church where she served on the Production Team every Sunday. Khandra received her education in the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System and was a graduate of Clarksville High School with the Class of 1981. Furthering her education, she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Organizational Management from Bethel College. She was a member of the inaugural APSU Master in Science Management Class (2005). She was an adjunct faculty member at APSU. She worked over 27 years in banking and was the Senior Vice President of Marketing Research at F&M Bank in Clarksville. Most recently she chaired the Clarksville-Montgomery County Industrial Development Board. She served on Workforce Essentials, Inc., Cumberland Region, CMC Community Health Foundation, CMC Library Foundation and the Adult Literacy Council. She was past president and lifetime member of both the Clarksville Jaycees and Tennessee Jaycees. Khandra received numerous awards in her lifetime and was always ready to lend a hand, share information or make a recommendation. She will be missed by family, friends and the entire community. On Thursday, November 3, 2022, Khandra became absent from her body and is now present with the Lord. She leaves to cherish precious memories her sister, Karyl Smalley (Robert) Kirkland, Clarksville, TN; niece, Alisha (Darrell) Brown, Nashville, TN; nephews: Aaron (Precious Joy) Kirkland and Samuel Kirkland. Both of Clarksville, TN; grandniece, Sophia Brown; grandnephew, Donovan Brown; aunts: Virginia (Sammy) Talley and Ellen Thomas; cousins: Sean (Kenyetta) Thomas and Indrid (Jurnell) Cockhren; numerous “Aunt K’s Kids” and countless friends that became family.
