Joe H. Burney, Sr

Age 79 of Clarksville passed away Thursday, August 9, 2018. Visitation Friday, August 17, 2018 2:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. with the family present 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at Foston Funeral Home. Funeral service 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Martin Chapel AME Church. He was born September 8, 1938 in Clarksville to Sam Burney, Sr and Pearl West Burney. He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Thelma Burney and Frances Ann Stevens and brothers, Sam Burney, Jr and Robert Burney. He leaves to cherish his memories daughters, Shellia (Derry) Harris and Debbie Burney; sons, Joe H. (Fawn) Burney, Jr and Tyrone (Illena) Burney all of Clarksville, TN; sisters, Mary ( Albin) Harris and Leigh Burney; brothers, Rev. Wilbur (Janice), Clydel Burney, James (Myrle) Burney and Eddie Burney and 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
