James L. Howard age 82 of Clarksville, passed away Saturday, September 23, 2023. Viewing Tuesday, September 26, 2023, 4:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. at Foston Funeral Home. Caskets watching Wednesday, September 27, 2023, 9:00 a.m.-11;00 a.m. with the Homegoing Celebration at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at Foston Funeral Home. Interment with full military honors at Kentucky Veteran Cemetery West, Hopkinsville, KY.
He was born June 28, 1941, in Savannah, GA to Leslie and Theresa Turner Valrie. He retired from Clarksville Police Department in 2000. He is preceded in death by his wife, Lois Ann Cross Howard and parents.
He leaves to cherish his memories son, Leroy Everett, Jr; sisters, Norries Thomas and Tyresa Stovall; brother, Steven E. Valrie, a host of nieces, nephews, brother and sisters-in-laws.
