James Burney

Age 68 of Clarksville passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2018. Visitation Friday, September 7, 2018 12:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. with the family present 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at Foston Funeral Home. Funeral service 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Foston Memorial Chapel. He was born October 9, 1949 in Albany, KY to Sam Burney, Sr and Pearl West Burney. He was a 1967 graduate of Montgomery Central High School. He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Thelma Burney and Frances Ann Stevens and brothers, Sam Burney, Jr, Robert Burney and Joe Burney, Sr. He leaves to cherish his loving memories wife, Myrle Atkins Burney; sons, Shannon Wells, Lorain, OH and Theodore (Tammy) Burney, Clarksville, TN; sisters, Mary (Alvin) Harris and Leigh Ann Burney both of Clarksville, TN; brothers, Pastor Wilbur (Janice) Burney, Clydel Burney and Eddie Burney all of Clarksville, TN; aunt, Teddy Osantowski and 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
