Isaiah Minor

Isaiah, son to Eddie Bell Minor, was born on Friday, April 30, 1943 in Clarksville, Tennessee. His mother and brothers:  Robert Henry Minor Sr., and Douglas “MacArthur” Minor preceded him in death.

He accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior at an early age and was a member of Springhill Missionary Baptist Church and was the oldest deacon. He was the church treasurer and a trustee.

Isaiah was educated in the Montgomery County School System and attended the Historic Burt High School.

On June 15, 1985, Isaiah united in holy matrimony with the love of his life, Mamie, and they were the proud parents of four children.

He loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed tinkering around and fixing things, mostly cars and engines. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.

On Thursday, February 8, 2024, Isaiah answered God’s beckoning call to cease from his earthly labors and entered into the Master’s joy.

He leaves precious memories to be cherished by his wife of 38 years, Mamie Minor; daughter, Kimberly Burton, Annapolis, MD; sons: Timothy Minor, Lynchburg, VA, Marvin Minor, Annapolis, MD and James Minor, Tampa, FL; seven grandchildren; brother, Rev. Larry Minor, Clarksville, TN and a host of other relatives and friends.
