Ida Bell entered this life on Wednesday, January 3, 1934 in Montgomery County, Tennessee, the daughter of Dave and Ruby Townsend. In addition to her parents, her husband, Aaron Bell, Sr.; two sons: David Bell, Alvin Bell; three daughters: Avis Bell, Ruby Fisher and Adrian Bell; stepson Aaron Bell, Jr preceded her in death.

She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at an early age and was a member of Poston Street Church of God.

Ida received her education in the Montgomery County School System where she attended and graduated from the Historic Burt High School, Class of 1952.

On Wednesday, December 24, 1958, Ida united in holy matrimony with the love of her life, Aaron Bell. This union was blessed with 9 children.

Affectionately nicknamed “Lovie” she loved visiting and spending time with all her family members and childhood best friend, Sadie Hines. She enjoyed listening to music, taking road trips and watching sports. She was a woman of peace, integrity and love. She adored her family and you couldn’t spank your kids at her house. She loved to dress up every day, always saying she did that in case someone stopped by. All who knew and loved her will sorely miss her presence and beautiful smile.

On Saturday, August 8, 2026, Ida departed this life to be with the Lord.

She leaves to cherish precious memories her daughters: Beverly Butler, Diane Simmons, Leslie (Chris) Young all of Clarksville, TN

and Denise Anthony, Dallas, TX and; 23 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 32 great-great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
