Howard William, son to Howard Russell and Susie Mae Meriwether-Russell, began his earthly journey on October 11, 1934 in Guthrie, Kentucky. His daughter, Rita Russell-Sebree, son, Howard Mims, parents, a sister, Mary Elois Mimms and brother, Rev. Peola Lewis Russell preceded him in death.

He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior at an early age and was a faithful member of Guildfield Baptist Church.

Howard received his formal education in the Todd County Training School. He was a veteran having served in the US Army. He enjoyed employment with the Vulcan Company as a machine operator and at Cooks Market until failing health forced him to retire.

A loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, hardworking provider,  he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He loved watching sports, wrestling and games on TV and was an avid reader. All who knew and loved him will sorely miss his presence and laughter.

On Saturday, November 28, 2020, Howard answered God’s beckoning call to cease from his earthly labors and entered into his Master’s joy.
