Age 89 of Clarksville passed away Friday, May 28, 2021 in Clarksville. Viewing Thursday, June 3, 2021 12:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. at Foston Memorial Chapel. Funeral Service 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 4, 2021 at Foston Memorial Chapel. Interment with full Military Honors at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West, Hopkinsville, KY.
Herman Moore, was born in Pitt County, North Carolina May 5, 1932 to the late Mack Moore and the late Bessie Moore. He retired from the U.S. Army with the rank of SFC after 20 years of service. Mr. Moore was a proud member of the 11th, 82nd, and 101st Airborne Divisions earning a Master Parachutist Badge and a recipient of the Bronze Star. He was also a graduate of Austin Peay University and member of Saint James Baptist Church.
Mr. Moore leaves behind his loving wife of nearly 70 years, Josephine Pearsall Moore; sons Stuart (Bira) Moore and Rodney Moore; daughter Gwen Rodriguez; grandchildren Michael (Jennifer) Moore, Jennifer Moore, Jaclynn Medina Mejia, Stephanie (Laidric) Stevenson, and Jannette (Ron)Evan; great grandchildren Jayden, Chloe, Jonathan, Cameron, Isaac, Theorie and Ethan; nieces, Marilyn Brown, Linda Curry and Darlene(Anthony) Wilkes; nephews, Harold (Bobbie) Jones, James Jones, Gerald Jones, and Rodger (Marilyn) Jones and a host of great nieces and nephews, friends and wonderful neighbors, Billy and Yolanda Long. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his eldest sister Esther Brown, younger brother Elex Moore and twin sister Erma Hines and younger sister Dorothy Carmon.
