Henry Bell

Henry Lee was born on August 8, 1953 in Clarksville, Montgomery County, Tennessee, to loving parents, Jerry Russell Bell, Sr., and Dorothy Ella Jones Bell who preceded him in death.  

He professed his love for Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of Mount Nebo Missionary Baptist Church.

Henry Lee received his formal education in the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System and  was a graduate of Clarksville High School, Class of 1972. He enjoyed employment with A.O. Smith Company and retired after 42 years of dedicated service as a machine operator. He also worked at Austin Peay State University.

He was married to Gloria Majors and this union was blessed with a daughter.

Henry Lee loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed playing outside with his grandchildren. All who knew and loved him will sorely miss his presence and smiling face.

On Saturday, April 8, 2023, at 2:45 a.m. Henry Lee answered God’s beckoning call to cease from his earthly labors and entered into the Master’s joy!

He leaves to cherish precious memories his devoted wife, Gloria Majors Bell and daughter, Lajasmin Gaines, both of Clarksville, TN; three grandchildren: Klaira Burgess, Kaylee Burgess and Khloe Burgess;  sister, Dorothy Bell; brother, Bobby (Beverly) Bell, all of Clarksville, TN; brothers-in-law: Bobby (Kelly) Majors, Robert (Celia) Majors; aunts: Mary Montgomery, Lucy Jones; uncle, Charles Jones; nieces: Arlene Bell, Eboni Bell, Marketa Bell, LaNeisha Bell, LaShauna Turner, MaKayla Majors, Mattie Majors, Tinisha Majors and Kenedra Bell-Towns; nephews: Bobby Bell, II, Marcus Bell, TeAndre Bell, Jason Burney and Michael Burney and a host of other relatives and friends.
