Georgia Dickerson

Age 92 of Clarksville, passed away October 27, 2020. Viewing Saturday, November 7, 2020 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at First Missionary Baptist Church. Interment 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 9, 2020 at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery- West, Hopkinsville, KY. Georgia Mae Merriweather Dickerson, was born August 20, 1928 in Clarksville, Tennessee to Otis, Sr., and Carrie Minnie Merriweather. She received her early education in the Montgomery County School System and graduated from the Historic Burt High School. Georgia was joined in holy matrimony to the love of her life, Clyde B. Dickerson. After several years of marriage, the two of them left Clarksville and moved to Los Angeles, California. There they enjoyed a wonderful and adventurous life together. She is preceded in death by her husband, Clyde B. Dickerson, parents, brother, Otis Merriweather, Jr.; sisters, Emma D. Merriweather and Elizabeth Merriweather Ward; beloved nieces: Adrian and Capri Merriweather; nephews, Otis, Arthur, Craig and Clifford Merriweather. Georgia leaves to cherish her memory, brother, Arthur Merriweather, Indianapolis, IN; nieces, Gwendoylyn, Shelia and Fairon (Rev. William) Bryles, Cheryl Ward, Adair Ward Washington, Sharron Ward, Dr. Portia Willis-Lee and Kathy Willis; nephews, Jerry Merriweather, Fabin Merriweather, Rodney Merriweather, Kenneth, Beecher and Marcus Ward, Kirk Willis; cousins, Annie Love Hall and Margaret “Puddin” and a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins.
