Dorothy Montgomery

Dorothy Mae, a daughter to Edgar Pettus and Dollie Hoosier Pettus, began her earthly journey on Monday, February 28, 1944, in Clarksville, Tennessee. Both parents preceded her in death.

She accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at an early age.

Dorothy attended and was a graduate of the Historic Burt High School, Class of 1962. She enjoyed employment with the Trane Company as an assembly line worker before retiring after many years of dedicated service.

Affectionately called “Baby Sister”, she loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed gardening. She will be sorely missed by all who were blessed to know her.

On Friday, January 30, 2026, Dorothy Mae Pettus Montgomery departed this life to be with the Lord.

She leaves precious memories to be cherished with her daughter, Marquita Pettus Moore; son, Curtis Montgomery, Jr., both of Clarksville, TN; four grandchildren: DeAndre, Antonio, Brittany and Karesha; four great-grandchildren: Amari, Elias, Zaniya and Phoenix; brother, George (Bristol) Pettus and a host of relatives and friends.
