DeWayne Wills

Listen to Obituary

DeWayne Adlai Wills began his earthly journey on Tuesday, November 7, 1961, son to Charlie “CW” William Wills and Lizzie McGregor Wills in Clarksville, Tennessee. His son, Kenneth Brown, parents and brother, Broderick Wills, Sr preceded him in death.

He accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior at an early age and was a member of Mt. Sinai Primitive Baptist Church in Nashville, Tennessee where he faithfully discharged his duties as a member of the Deacon Board.

DeWayne was educated in the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System and was a graduate of Clarksville High School, Class of 1981. He also attended Mary Holmes College. He enjoyed employment as a truck driver with multiple companies providing transport service for nearly a decade..

On Saturday, August 6, 1988, DeWayne united in holy matrimony with the love of his life, Bernice Brown and this union was blessed with four children.

He loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed fishing, grilling, listening to music, especially funk; watching his favorite football teams: Tennessee Titans and San Francisco 49ers; playing spades, and talking on the phone with friends. All who knew and loved him will sorely miss his presence and smiling face.

On Tuesday, September 2, 2025, DeWayne departed this life to be with the Lord.

He leaves precious memories to be cherished by his wife of 37 years, Bernice Brown-Wills, Nashville, TN; son, Eric (Misty) Wills, Franklin, KY; daughters: Brittany Wills, Nashville, TN and Melissa Wills, Berea, KY; daughter-in-law, LaToya Brown, Nashville, TN; four grandchildren: Kenneth Brown II, Kensington Brown, Orian Wills and Omari Wills; sister-in-law, Charliveta Wills, Nashville, TN; beloved nephews: Broderick Wills, Jr., and Brandon Wills; aunts: Jennie B.
