Deasrick Crawford

Listen to Obituary

Deasrick Amaru Crawford, affectionately known as “Desi” or “Dez” was born on Wednesday, January 10, 2001, to David and Patricia McCurrie Crawford. He was the second of five children: David, Patrice, Jada and James. His brothers, Titan, Grayson and Julian, grandparents: J.T. and Daisy McCurrie preceded him in death.

He professed a hope in Christ at an early age and was a member of The Greenhill Church and Christian Outreach Ministry.

Deasrick received his education in the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System and he was a 2019 graduate of Northwest High School. He enjoyed employment with Amazon as a tow motor driver and a trainer.

Desi loved spending time with his family, Jaelyn and their baby boy, Amaru. He loved to “Rap” with his brothers, David and Kobe. He had a passion for designing clothes for his “Amaru Clothing Collections” line. He was an avid fisherman, went every chance he got no matter the time and enjoyed watching Tennessee Titans football. He loved traveling and his first trip was to Puerto Rico where he asked Jaelyn for her hand in marriage. He loved helping people; and if you knew him, he loved to debate with you on any topic and could almost bring you down to where you would almost change your mind and give in to him. All who knew and loved him will sorely miss his presence and smiling face.

On Saturday, January 3, 2026, Deasrick depart this life to be with the Lord.

Left to cherish precious memories are his son, Amaru Ruebon-Cole Crawford; parents: David and Patricia; sisters, Patrice (Gage) and Jada; brothers, David (Mitzelis) and James; nephew, Elyas; fiancé, Jaelyn Bartusiak; grandparents, Jeff and Sharon Carriere, all of Clarksville, TN, and a host of aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and brothers from another mother, Devario, Kobe, Diego and Danny.
