Louis was born on Thursday, July 6, 1978, to Patricia A. Roach Campbell and Hampie Louis Campbell in Summerville, South Carolina. On Saturday, August 22, 2026, Louis answered God’s beckoning call to cease from his earthly labor and entered into his Master’s joy at the age of 48 years old. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Peter Campbell Sr. and Catherine Ancrum Campbell, and his maternal grandfather, Isaac Roach.

Louis accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age and was baptized at St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Clarksville, Tennessee. Louis later united with Nevels Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, where he served in the Trustee Ministry during his membership.

Louis received his elementary education at Knightsville Elementary School Knightsville, South Carolina. His family eventually relocated to Clarksville, Tennessee, where he attended Greenwood Middle School, Clarksville High School, and Northeast High School.

In his earlier years, Louis was an outstanding athlete who played various sports, including baseball, basketball, and football.

While juggling his responsibilities at home, schoolwork, and after-school activities, Louis embarked on his employment career with the family business, “Roach Contractors,” while also working the night shift at Krystal’s. Shortly after beginning his employment at Krystal’s, Louis discovered that he had a bouncing baby boy on the way. January 11, 1998, would forever be one of the best days of his life. Louis was ecstatic to become a father. Sha’Ron and Louis were two peas in a pod. From riding around the city in his old yellow Cutlass to taking professional pictures in matching outfits, Louis never missed an opportunity to spend time with Sha’Ron.

Later, Louis gained three beautiful bonus daughters, Lynn, Sydney, and Jana, whom he loved and cared for as if they were his own.

Louis had a strong desire to provide for and protect his family. That desire showed through the various jobs he held, from working at the Walmart Distribution Center to Hankook Tire Factory, just to name a few. Louis never allowed his family to go without.

Louis was truly a “Jack of All Trades.” Later on in life, he found his true passion with the start of his very own lawn and landscaping company. Louis genuinely took pride in caring for and restoring his community, one yard at a time. This was not surprising, because anyone in the family could always count on Louis.

Louis was such a family-oriented individual. He was always present at family functions, extending a helping hand wherever it was needed. If Louis was near, you knew a good laugh was never too far behind. He was known as a prankster, jokester, instigator, and agitator by his family and friends.

He loved and cherished his parents, siblings, and grandmother. He genuinely loved each of his family members unconditionally. Louis and his cousins shared an “unbreakable bond” that will forever remain a cherished part of his legacy.

When he wasn’t working, you could find Louis enjoying one of his many hobbies, from fishing and shooting to playing horseshoes, riding four-wheelers, or driving around town in his 2005 red Ford Mustang GT.

What Louis loved the most was spending time with his people. Louis was truly a man of the people. He never met a stranger and was always willing to help his fellow man. Two of his favorite questions were, “Are you alright?” and ‘Do you need anything?” He was very genuine whenever he asked these two questions.

Louis was fun-loving, witty, full of life, energetic, and truly one of a kind. He had so many friends and acquaintances throughout the community who knew him by his various nicknames: “Lou,” “Louie,” “Bubba Louie,” “L-Dawg,” “Dirty Red,” and Sandman.”

Louis’s life cannot be summed up by the day he was born or the day he transitioned. He lived so many memorable days from July 6, 1978, until August 22, 2026. Louis’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.

Louis leaves to cherish and treasure his memories: son: Sha’Ron C. Campbell;
