Christopher Roderick Rudolph Lewis, age 63, was born on July 19, 1962, in Boston, Massachusetts, to the late George V. Rudolph and Clarissa Leggett Rudolph Lewis, and lovingly raised by his stepfather, Lionel Lewis. On December 14, 2025, in Savannah, Georgia, Christopher transitioned from this earthly life to his heavenly reward, surrounded by love and legacy.

Affectionately knows as “Chris” he received his elementary and secondary education in the Montgomery County School System. He proudly played basketball at New Providence Junior High School and later graduated from Northwest High School in Clarksville, Tennessee.

Following high school, Chris relocated to Tacoma, Washington, where he began what would become a lifelong passion and career in the automotive industry. His journey eventually brought him to Portland, Oregon, where he met the love of his life and forever partner, his Queen, Lynn Lewis. They were united in marriage on April 29, 2005. Chris often joked that he “let Lynn run the show,” but anyone who knew them could see it was a partnership built on deep love, mutual respect, and laughter. During this time, Chris joined Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Johnny Pack IV, strengthening his faith and fellowship. Together, they made a beautiful life, including more than 10 wonderful years in Vancouver, Washington.

In 2016, Chris and Lynn made Savannah, Georgia their home. Of course, Chris did what he did best-he found his place in yet another car dealership, ultimately serving as Finance Manager at AutoNation Volkswagen Savannah until his passing. Chris’s love for cars went far beyond his profession. He was a proud member of the Original Savannah Corvette Club, where he served as Treasurer. Whether cruising through town in his bright yellow, souped-up Corvette, riding in parades or attending car shows, Chris turned heads everywhere he went. He was also a dedicated member of the Freemason organization.

Known for his sharp sense of style, Chris took pride in his appearance. You could never catch him with lint on his black clothing-he always kept a lint roller close, because looking good was simply part of who he was.

Above all else, Chris loved his family and friends. He especially adored his grandchildren and spoiled them without hesitation. He was their biggest supporter and fiercest defender, always ready to go to bat for them--near or far.

Christopher was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather, Clarissa Rudolph Lewis, George V. Rudolph and Lionel Lewis; his brother, George “Mickey” Rudolph, his beloved grandparents, Eddie and Blanche Rudolph and two nephews, Danyon Rudolph and Robert Hooker.

He leaves cherished memories to his devoted wife, Lynn Lewis, Savannah, GA; his children: Erika Collins-Tones (Roland), Louisville, KY, Krishanda Lewis, Christopher Lewis, Jr., both of Tacoma WA and Sarah Ann Richmond, Chicago, IL and his stepchildren: Lakeisha Peters and LaToya Peters, both of Portland, OR and Bryan Cranford, Vancouver, WA; 13 beloved grandchildren: Khalil Lewis, Madison Lewis, Justice Duncan, Chloee Bronson, Eriq Tones, RJ Tones, LaKendra Taylor, Da’Sani Carroll, Tyrone Washington, Na’Ziah Davis, Zoѐ Akuma, Zayden Akuma and Marcus Cranford. He is also survived by his sisters: Latania Rudolph, Clarksville, TN and Dr. Jacqueline Powell, Bakersfield, CA; his aunt, Charlene Rudolph Clifton, Detroit, MI, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, car-club family, and loved ones who will forever celebrate his life.

“Christopher Roderick Rudolph Lewis lived with faith, drove with passion, loved with his whole heart, and leaves behind a legacy that will continue. Today we release Chris with grateful hearts--knowing God has called him home, the road was well traveled, and his love will forever ride on through his family.”
