Listen to Obituary

Christopher Lamont, son to the late William Victor Edmonds, Sr., and Sheryl Jean Kennedy Shanklin, entered this life with his twin sister, Katina, on Thursday, November 16, 1972.

He accepted Christ at the age of 16. He was a faithful member of Phillips Chapel CME Church, Elkton, Kentucky, where he was an active member: President of the Youth Department, District Youth Department President CME Conference, attended Sunday School, member of the Youth Choir, Usher Board, and Church Janitor or wherever he was needed to serve. In his later years he attended Guildfield Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed serving God through his actions, humility, and commitment.

Affectionately known as “Chris” by family and friends, he received his education in the Todd County, KY School System and was a graduate of Todd Central High School, Class of 1991. Furthering his education, he earned an Associates Degree in Business Management from Brown Mackie College. He was employed with LG Electronics Clarksville, TN as Team Lead for the Dryer Sub Line Department.

On Saturday, July 2, 2011, Chris united in holy matrimony with Leticia Denise Ann Edmonds.

He was a loving caring husband, son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He loved a variety of music, dancing, karaoke, playing cards, dominos, DJing for special occasions, Master Chef/Griller, Comedian, University of Louisville Basketball and Tennessee Titans football fan. His favorite words were “Whatever” and “Execute.” He enjoyed entertaining family and friends and making others he came in contact with feel special.

On Monday, June 15, 2026, Christopher answered God’s beckoning call to cease from his earthly labors and entered into the Master’s joy.

He leaves to cherish precious memories his wife, Leticia Denise Ann Edmonds; mother, Sheryl Jean (Donald) Shanklin, Russellville, KY; daughters: Karissa N. Edmonds, Elkton, KY and Breonka M.
