Audie Gayle Dennis, daughter to the late Hurley Dennis, Sr., and Laura B. Trice Garrett-Dennis, began her earthly journey on September 23, 1945 in Clarksville, Tennessee.

Affectionately called by her middle name, Gayle, she dedicated her life to Christ at an early age, was a faithful member of Woodlawn Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church and loved singing in the choir. Psalm 23 was her favorite passage of scripture.

Gayle received her early education in the Montgomery County School System and graduated from the Historic Burt High School with the Class of 1963. Furthering her education, she attended Austin Peay State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Nursing (BSN) Degree.

She began her nursing career as an employee of Clarksville Memorial Hospital, faithfully discharging the duties of a Registered Nurse caring for others as she was called to do. She endured the name changes from Memorial to Gateway and now Tennova.  After more than 30 years of dedicated service, she retired in 2013. Gayle found time to care for others until her health began to fail.

Gayle enjoyed cooking and spending time with family and friends. Her hands were never idle, as she loved to crochet, knit, sew and do needlepoint. All who knew and loved her will sorely miss her presence.

On Thursday, November 26, 2020, Gayle departed this life to be with the Lord.
