Allen, son to Milton Micthell and Elva Robinson Mitchell, began his earthly journey on Sunday, November 1, 1953 in Youngstown, OH. His son, Craig Lamont Mitchell; parents; grandparents: Minnie Mitchell and Viola Robinson; uncles: Bruce, Henry, David, Paul and Samuel preceded him in death.
He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and later in life united with Shiloh Baptist Church East, Nashville, TN and served as a member of the Deacon Board. He loved reading his Bible.
Allen was educated in the Youngstown Public School System where he attended East High School. He enjoyed employment with Famicos Foundation, Cleveland, OH, providing humanitarian services for seniors and children with food, clothing and literacy development. With Joshen Paper and Supply as a shipping and receiving Supervisor.
He loved spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed playing the flute, playing chess, listening to music and watching his favorite football team, the Cleveland Browns. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.
On Saturday, November 22, 2025, Allen departed this life to be with the Lord.
He leaves to cherish precious memories his daughters: Ebony Kellom, Cleveland, OH and Alisha Mitchell, Miami, FL; 21 grandchildren; sister: Karren Stepp, Clarksville, TN; brother, Earl Mitchell, Trafford, PA; aunt, Viola Robinson and a host of other relatives and friends.
