Alfred Hoosier, Jr

Age 58 of Clarksville passed away Friday, August 11, 2017 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Visitation Friday, August 18, 2017 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at Foston Memorial Chapel. Burial Resthaven Memorial Gardens. He was born June 16, 1959 to Alfred I. Hoosier, Sr and Bernice Shaw Hoosier. He was a 1978 graduate of Clarksville High School. He was employed with Clarksville-Montgomery County School System and retired April 2017 with 21 years of service as a Environmental Services Custodian.He is preceded in death by his mother. He is survived by his father, Alfred I. Hoosier Sr., Clarksville, TN; daughter Jackita Lancaster, Clarksville; sisters Joyce Ann Smith, Hopkinsville, KY; Gloria Diane (André) Sanders, Noblesville, IN; Regina Hoosier, Clarksville; and Glenice (Lakina) Johnson, Nashville, TN;brother David Lynn Hoosier, Clarksville; uncles Lloyd (Audrey) Shaw and Daniel Hoosier; aunts Virdie Mae Shaw, Sarah Shaw, and Ruth Minor and devoted companion Karen Anderson and a host of family and friends.
